You can connect Slack to Warmy to receive real-time notifications directly in your Slack channels (for example: mailbox issues, DNS problems, warm-up alerts, or system events).
This guide explains how to create a Slack Incoming Webhook and connect it to Warmy’s Notification Hub.
What You’ll Need
-
Admin access to your Slack workspace
-
Permission to create Slack apps
-
Access to your Warmy dashboard
Step 1: Create a Slack Incoming Webhook
Slack uses Incoming Webhooks to allow external tools (like Warmy) to send messages into Slack channels.
1. Open Slack Apps
Go to:
https://api.slack.com/apps
2. Create a New App
-
Click Create New App
-
Select From scratch
-
Enter:
-
App Name (for example:
Warmy Notifications) -
Workspace where notifications should be sent
-
-
Click Create App
Step 2: Enable Incoming Webhooks
-
In your app settings, open Incoming Webhooks
-
Enable Activate Incoming Webhooks
-
Click Add New Webhook to Workspace
-
Select the Slack channel where you want to receive notifications
-
Confirm the selection
Slack will generate a Webhook URL.
👉 Copy this Webhook URL — you’ll need it in the next step.
For additional technical details, Slack’s official documentation is available here:
https://docs.slack.dev/messaging/sending-messages-using-incoming-webhooks/
Step 3: Add the Webhook to Warmy
-
Log in to your Warmy account
-
Go to Notification Hub
-
Open the Slack section

-
Paste the copied Slack Webhook URL

-
Save the settings
That’s it 🎉
Warmy will now send notifications directly to your selected Slack channel.
Tips & Best Practices
-
We recommend creating one Slack channel dedicated to Warmy alerts (for example:
#warmy-notifications) -
Make sure the Webhook URL is kept private
-
You can disable or rotate the Webhook at any time from Slack App settings
Troubleshooting
-
No messages in Slack?
Double-check that:-
Incoming Webhooks are enabled
-
The correct channel was selected
-
The Webhook URL was pasted correctly in Warmy
-
-
Wrong channel?
Create a new Webhook and select a different channel in Slack.
