How to connect Adobe Marketo Engage to Warmy
This integration allows you to sync your Warmy seed lists directly with Adobe Marketo Engage using n8n. By setting up this automation, you eliminate the need to manually export and import lists, ensuring your target audiences automatically receive fresh, engaged seed contacts to maintain optimal email deliverability.
Overview of Automations
Integrating Adobe Marketo Engage via n8n unlocks two primary automated workflows:
- Create Warmup Seedlist: Automatically push your newly generated Warmy seed contacts directly into a designated list within Adobe Marketo Engage.
- Update / Rotate Seedlist: Keep your Marketo lists fresh by automatically syncing rotated and refreshed seed contacts as your campaigns run. Each send reaches a continuously updated list, mirroring the functionality of our FeedXO, MailElement, and Beehiiv integrations.
Prerequisites
Before configuring the integration, ensure you have the following ready:
- An active Warmy.io account.
- An active Adobe Marketo Engage account with API access enabled.
- An n8n account (Cloud or self-hosted) to build the automation webhooks.
- Admin or appropriate permission levels to generate API keys in both platforms.
Step 1: Locate the Adobe Marketo Engage Integration
- Log in to your Warmy dashboard.
- On the left-hand navigation menu, expand the Seed lists section.
- Click on Automations.
- Scroll through the available integrations (alongside FeedXO, MailElement, etc.) until you locate the Adobe Marketo Engage card. (Note: If you do not see it, ensure your account has the appropriate Growthbook feature flags enabled).
Step 2: Generate and Connect Your API Key
To authorize the connection between Warmy and your n8n workflow, you need a Warmy API Key.
- On the Adobe Marketo Engage integration card, click the + API Key button.
- Generate a new API Key specifically for this integration.
- Copy the API Key to your clipboard. Keep this secure, as you will need it to authenticate the HTTP Requests in your n8n workflows.
Step 3: Configure the n8n Workflows
You will need to set up two parallel workflows (or distinct branches) within n8n to handle both creation and rotation events.
Workflow A: Create Warmup Seedlist
This workflow listens for a new seed list generation in Warmy and pushes it to Marketo.
- Trigger: Set up a Webhook node in n8n to receive the payload from Warmy when a new seed list is requested.
- Action (Warmy): Use an HTTP Request node (authenticated via the Warmy API Key) to fetch the initial batch of seed contacts.
- Action (Marketo): Add a Marketo node (or HTTP Request to Marketo's REST API) to create or populate a specific Static List in Adobe Marketo Engage with the newly fetched Warmy contacts.
Workflow B: Update / Rotate Seedlist
This workflow ensures that inactive seeds are cycled out and fresh seeds are cycled in.
- Trigger: Configure a scheduled trigger or a Webhook that listens for Warmy’s rotation cycle payload.
- Action (Warmy): Fetch the updated, rotated list of active seed contacts using the Warmy API.
- Action (Marketo): Sync the data. Use a Marketo node to first remove outdated contacts from your designated warmup list, and then append the fresh seed contacts pulled from Warmy.
Step 4: Finalize and Test
- Once your n8n workflows are active, return to the Warmy dashboard.
- Trigger a manual rotation or wait for the next scheduled warmup cycle.
- Log in to your Adobe Marketo Engage instance and verify that the target list has been successfully created and populated with the correct number of seed contacts.
- Monitor the integration card in Warmy to ensure data is flowing and the synchronization status remains active.
We are working on it; we will have this page updated soon :)
